Stay Healthy: Keep Your Blood Pressure Down
If you've made changes to lower your blood pressure, you should feel proud of yourself. But remember that you cannot cure high blood pressure-so, whatever you did that worked, keep doing it. If you started an exercise program, keep it up. Make sure the amount of salt that you eat stays low. Keep making those tasty, healthier meals. If you reduced the amount of alcohol you drink, keep up the good work.
Also, be sure to keep taking any medicines your doctor has prescribed and get regular checkups so that you can be sure your blood pressure is still low. Your blood pressure can go back up if you go back to your old habits. Remember that you can't feel it if your blood pressure is high. These changes will help keep you alive and healthy.
