Putting Off Your Checkup?

Are you feeling worried or nervous about the idea of a checkup? These tips may help ease your fears:

  • Know that the doctor sees patients every day who face the same health issues you may have. So try not to feel embarrassed.

  • Your doctor’s job is to help you get and stay healthy, not to judge you.

  • You can bring a friend or family member. That person can ask questions for you.

  • Are you scared of getting a “bad” report? Tell your doctor this at the start of the checkup. He or she can explain what tests will be done.

  • Know that it is always better to find and start fixing health problems early before they have a chance to become more serious.

If you need help finding a Keystone Mercy doctor or making an appointment, please call Member Services at 1-800-521-6860. You can also go to Keystone Mercy’s provider directory to find a doctor.
