Could You Have Asthma?

If you have trouble breathing, you could have asthma. Your doctor can help you. Without treatment, asthma can be serious. Some people even die from it. Check the sentences that are true for you:

  • I hear a whistling sound when I breathe.

  • I cough during or after exercise.

  • I cough or can't breathe very well when I sleep. This wakes me up.

  • I often get bad colds in my chest. These colds take a long time to go away.

  • I have trouble breathing when I am near pets, perfumes, or smoke.

Call the doctor if you checked any of these signs. You may need medicine. Your doctor can help you get well.
