Lots of Children Get Head Lice
Head lice are tiny insects that live in people's hair. Lice are small and reddish brown. You may see a rash or white eggs. Lice make your head itchy. Having lice does not mean your child is dirty. Any child can get lice by touching heads with someone else who has lice. Children can also get lice from sharing hats, combs, or anything that was in the hair of someone with lice.
See the doctor to get treated for lice. The doctor can give you a special shampoo. Also, you need to use hot water to wash anything that touched your child's head, such as brushes or combs.
