Boost Your Calorie Burn
How can you burn the most calories in a short amount of time? Try these tips to boost the calorie burn:
-
Step up the pace. Short bursts of more intense exercise can burn more calories. For example, try jogging for short stretches during your brisk walk.
-
Build up to an aerobic workout. This is exercise that gets the heart and lungs pumping.
-
Add strength training. The stronger you are, the more muscle mass you have. Muscle mass helps you burn more calories while at rest. Build muscle by lifting weights. You can also use elastic bands or do pushups, crunches or pull-ups.
-
Find a routine you enjoy so that you can stick with it in the years to come.
