Have a Healthy Baby

A healthy pregnancy is good for you and your baby. Follow these tips for a healthy pregnancy:

  • Get regular checkups. See your doctor throughout your pregnancy, even if you feel great.  If you need help finding a doctor, please call Keystone Mercy Member Services at 1-800-521-6860.  You can also click here to get to the Keystone Mercy provider directory.

  • Eat healthy foods. Eat a variety of whole grains, fruits, vegetables, meat, beans, fish, low-fat dairy products, and eggs.  Eating healthy foods can boost your energy too.

  • Exercise. If your doctor says it is OK, you should exercise. Walking is a safe choice.
  • Don’t eat raw or undercooked fish or meats.
  • Avoid harmful substances.  Don’t drink any alcohol, smoke, or use drugs.   If you need help to stop drinking or using drugs, click here to find a behavioral health provider.  If you need help to stop smoking or using tobacco, please click here for more information on Keystone Mercy's Tobacco Cessation program.
  • Have someone else change the cat litter.

Keystone Mercy wants to help you have a healthy baby.  We have a special program called WeeCare that helps our members who are pregnant.  If you need help or information, please call WeeCare at 1-800-521-6867.  You can also click here to learn more about WeeCare.
